Sealing booms are used to seal the union between land and water on beaches during high and low tides, as well as in shallow waters or calm rivers, with changes in flow. They are made with 2 levels of chambers, an upper inflatable filled with air and one or two lower chambers filled with water, which provide ballast. In this way, if there is sufficient depth, the boom behaves like any inflatable boom in containing the spill and if the tide goes down, the ballast of the lower chambers seals the beach. They are supplied in sections of different lengths, and with Norwegian or ASTM connectors according to standard F962.
