GRINTEC AIRBOOM inflatable booms

GRINTEC AIRBOOM inflatable barriers are designed to be easily deployed from reels, offering high performance with minimal personnel requirements. Thanks to their design, low inflation pressure and high buoyancy-to-weight ratio, these booms are an effective solution for hydrocarbon containment, even in adverse weather conditions. These barriers have floats with independent internal chambers that are easily replaceable and protected inside the barrier for maximum reliability and resistance, designed to remain in the water for long periods of time.

Technical characteristics

At Sorbcontrol, we manufacture this barrier model with a robust fabric available in PVC or in a PU/PVC blend, high frequency welded. GRINTEC AIRBOOM barriers are highly resistant to hydrocarbons, salt and ultraviolet radiation. In addition, they are designed to provide optimum visibility in the dark as they have pockets for high-intensity flashing LED beacons every 25 meters, as well as large reflectors welded to the floats every 5 meters. These complements, together with the color of the fabric (optional between orange and bright yellow), guarantee easy and quick visibility.

For situations requiring additional durability, GRINTEC AIRBOOM barriers are also available in an extra strong version, with double thickness of fabric on the floats. This version offers superior robustness, surpassing the resistance of most barriers made of rubber, Hypalon or neoprene.
